If you’re anything like me, you spend a lot of time looking through Instagram and Pinterest for design ideas. You have undoubtedly seen pictures of Mixtiles on your account and have been enticed to try them. Even though I wanted to give in, I just couldn’t bring myself to. So I got in touch with the business and inquired if they were interested in working with me. Which means they would send me some Mixtiles Wall Art in exchange for a review.

If you’ve never heard of mixtiles, prepare to have your mind blown. Peel-and-stick artwork with a border that is 8 by 8 inches is called Mixtiles Wall Art. Since the peel-and-stick strip can only withstand so much weight, this is the only size that is offered. That’s correct, just a fantastic peel-and-stick styrofoam strip, no nails or screws necessary.
Naughty By Nature band
You can purchase three or, I dunno, get 70, like me (who’s down with ocd? I know you do. For those of you who grew up in the 1990s, this is a reference to the band naughty by Mixtiles Wall Art. And believe me when I say that I gave them a run for their money, moving some of them more than a dozen times in an effort to locate the ideal placement for them. Although Mixtiles Wall Art can be hung on its alone, it is usually ideal to use it as part of a gallery wall design.

Utilize images of your family
You might use images of your loved ones or even pictures of the artwork you or your kids produced! You can use something if you can upload it, of course! The point at which they might draw the line is nudity, um.
A Frame of Plastic Around Them
They weren’t EXACTLY what I had expected to see, so I was a little taken away (so maybe I had a FEW expectations). I had only GUESSED that they were typical photo frames with glass or plastic on top and mats. On what appears to be some sort of foam board, the portrait is printed. And a plastic frame surrounds the Mixtiles Wall Art itself.

Now, while on the surface this could seem like a bad thing, it actually benefits the entire Mixtiles Wall Art piece. So that they don’t fall and smash to the floor when I carelessly hang my regular gallery walls, but instead stay attached to the wall.
The Photograph Is Matte
And it works—for crying out loud—really works. One of my favourite styles is the matte finish on the image. Additionally, the front of the frame has no glass. So I’m not blinded by the sunlight that the photos were taken in. and I can actually SEE each and every image in my enormous gallery.
Optional frames and photos
In the Mixtiles Wall Art, my own acceptable-quality photos are displayed. I decided. These Mixtiles have a white border and a black frame. when I attempted to submit a lower-quality photo. I was told by the programme that this was a bad idea.
The Complete 8 by 8 Area
For me, the white mat-like appearance that was not a true mat gave it a slightly more affordable appearance than it actually was. If I had done any study prior to making my purchase and realised there were no mats or covers made of glass or plastic. I think I would have simply used the photo without the white edge. Instead of choosing the one that had a white border, that fills the entire 8 by 8 square.

Simply put, I felt that the white printed border slightly detracted from the image as a whole. I was hence a little bit unsatisfied (really, only in myself for not researching things more).
What the Price of Recycling Is
When I first considered purchasing some Mixtiles. The first three were available for $49 each. And it would cost $9 for each subsequent one. That seemed very fair, to be honest.
When I made the decision to go ahead and order Mixtiles. The first three came at a cost of $59, while the following ones cost $12 each.
